What are Palm profile credentials?

When you set up your device, you create a Palm profile. Your profile gives you access to services like automatic updates and automatic backups of the info that is stored only on your device and isn?t synchronized with an online account. Credit card information used for App Catalog purchases is also stored in your Palm profile (not on the device). Your Palm profile credentials include the following items:

  • Email address
  • Password
  • Security question and answer (optional)

I forgot my password, and I do not have a security question

  1. If you see a button that says Forgot Password, tap it. Otherwise, enter the password incorrectly three times on the device. You are sent an email called ?How to reset your security information? from Palm_Inc@email.palmnewsletters.com.
  2. Note the following:
    • Check the spam folder if the email does not arrive after a few minutes.
    • If you received multiple password reset email messages, only the most recent message is valid.
    • If the email does not arrive after 20 minutes, check with your email provider to find out if emails from Palm_Inc@email.palmnewsletters.com are blocked. If they are blocked, after they are unblocked, call back to continue troubleshooting with this procedure.
  3. When the email arrives, open it and click the link in it.

    Note If you receive an error message, such as ?Authentication Token Disabled,? you may have clicked a link in an expired password reset email message. Confirm that you clicked the link in the most recent password reset email message.

  4. At the linked site, enter a new password, and then enter it again to confirm.
  5. You can also add a security question by selecting Change Security Question. Select a new question from the list, and enter an answer.
  6. Select Reset Password. You are sent an email confirming the changes.
  7. Enter the new password on the device to complete the process.

  • Contact Palm Support for assistance. Your Palm profile email address is not accessible without your Palm profile password.
