Video formats supported by Media (Pics & Videos) application

Article ID: 4101

The Media application (called "Pics & Videos" on some devices) can convert the following file formats for use on your device:

  • Treo 680, 650 for GSM carriers (AT&T, Rogers, Unlocked GSM, others):
  • Treo 700p, 650 for CDMA carriers (Alltel, Bell, EarthLink, Sprint PCS, Telus, Verizon):
  • Palm TX, Tungsten T5, Zire 72:
    • MPEG4 Video + ADPCM Audio
    • MPEG1
    • MPEG4 + MP3
    • Mjpeg + ADPCM
    • Photo formats: JPG (JPEG), BMP, TIFF, GIF

However, due to variations of video/audio source files, and the various video compressors available, some video files with the AVI, MPEG, or ASF extensions may not be compatible with the Media application.

Using QuickInstall to convert videos
