Third-party solutions to sync your webOS device directly with your computer: Calendar, Contacts, Photos, Music and more

If you want to keep your data in your old desktop organizer and sync it with your webOS device, third-party solutions may be available (sold separately). These solutions either sync your desktop organizer with an online account that's set up on your webOS device, or they sync your device directly with your desktop organizer using a local connection.

Third-party solutions may also be available to sync media items on your desktop, such as photos or music, with your webOS device.

Before you begin HP's data migration wizard provides an easy way to export your Calendar and Contacts to an online account and sync your webOS device over the air. You no longer sync with your old desktop organizer. Instead, your device synchronizes with the online account.

This article describes alternate methods of synchronizing a webOS device without moving Calendar and Contacts out of your old desktop organizer.

Sync your existing desktop Calendar and Contacts with an online account that syncs with your webOS device

Third-party software may be available to pass your desktop organizer's data through an online account, which is added to your webOS device. This means you can sync your device no matter where you are, using the web service as a go-between, and keep the data in your desktop organizer as well.

Sync with your existing desktop Calendar and Contacts without an online account

If you would like to sync locally with your desktop organizer, a third-party solution may be available. The data is not stored on or passed through an online account.

Important Check the system requirements on the developer's website to ensure that the software is compatible with the webOS version on your device.

Some third-party solutions require a Wi-Fi connection, which is not available on all webOS devices.
