Set up a POP3 or IMAP email account

Look at the list of email providers above. The info for these providers is already included in the VersaMail application; you just need to pick the name from a list during setup, and most fields will be pre-filled for you. Skip to the next step.

If your provider is not listed above, collect the following information from your provider:

Protocol Does your provider use POP3 or IMAP?
Email address Example: lindarichman@palm.com

Email password Example: c0ffeet@lk
Incoming mail server Example: pop.palm.com
Outgoing mail server Example: smtp.palm.com ? you may also need Port Number, SSL requirements, and ESMTP authentication requirements
Other information Your email service provider may have special requirements for the following:
  • Port number for incoming server or outgoing server
  • SSL (secure connection) for incoming server or outgoing server
