What is this software?
If you use Microsoft® Office Outlook® 2007 on Windows XP or Windows Vista,
you'll need this update to perform HotSync operations with Outlook's Calendar, Contacts,
Tasks and Notes, as well as optional non-wireless Email sync.
The software on this page is added to existing installations of Palm Desktop and
HotSync Manager.
Do you need this update?
DO install this update if you:
- Sync with Outlook 2007 on Windows Vista or Windows XP
- Have Palm OS device (e.g. Treo 755p, 680, Tungsten, Zire)
- Already installed Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager on your PC
- Use the Palm Outlook Conduits to sync with Outlook
Do NOT install this update if you:
- Sync with Palm Desktop instead of Outlook
- Have a Windows Mobile device (e.g. Treo 750, Treo 700wx)
- Use a third-party sync application (e.g. Chapura's PocketMirror)
- Never installed Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager1
- Sync wirelessly with Outlook using Exchange ActiveSync, and never sync
through the USB cable or Bluetooth2
- Have a Mac
1 - If you use a third-party sync application, please contact the third-party
developer or vendor to learn what you need to do for synchronization with Outlook
2007.
2 - We recommend performing periodic HotSync operations through the USB sync cable, in
order to back up items that are not synchronized during Exchange ActiveSync
synchronization. These items include add-on software and system settings.
System Requirements
Palm device requirements
- Any Palm OS device. From the original 1996 Palm Pilot to our most recent
device.
- Warning: This update is not required for Windows Mobile devices such as Treo 750 or
Treo 700wx.
Desktop/laptop requirements
- Outlook 2007 installed on desktop PC. This update is intended for Outlook 2007
on Windows Vista or Windows XP.
- Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager on desktop PC. This update is added to
existing installations of Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager.
- Windows Vista or Windows XP. This update does not apply to Mac OS.
- 10 MB free space on desktop PC. The installer is 9MB, and the files it
installs are about 0.2MB. You can delete the installer after you've run the
software.
How To Install

After downloading and decompressing the file (above), you'll see one file:
Setup.exe.
Double-click on Setup.exe to start the installer.
Follow the on-screen instructions to install the Outlook 2007 Update.
